Shan Auliff is currently a Senior Associate at JHK Legal and has over 15 years’ experience working at a variety of commercial law firms. Throughout her career Shan has assisted clients in the areas of Insurance, Debt Recovery, Commercial Litigation, and Insolvency

More recently Shan has worked on a number of files for her clients and has obtained advantageous results for them.  In turn satisfied clients have sent volume repeat work.

Shan also has experience providing Insurance Litigation – Motor Vehicle, Fraud, Home and Contents, Internal Dispute Resolution.

Shan is an excellent communicator, and imparts her preliminary and ongoing expertise in the areas of law, insurance and recoveries, to include recommendations, prospects, evidential issues, and strategies, along with analysis of past-files to improve client processes and strategies. Her experience includes litigating complex contested matters throughout each State of Australia, in all jurisdictions: Supreme, District, Magistrates, Tribunals and Appeals Court, and she currently holds a practicing certificate in Queensland.

Shan always aims to provide her clients with commercially pragmatic advice and always strives to achieve positive results for her clients. Shan ensures this occurs for her clients by coordinating and managing external service providers to ensure their services and products are provided swiftly, at a high quality level, whilst remaining within the budget.

Shan ensures due diligence and compliance matters are adhered to at all times regarding various legislation (local and international), case law and general commercial obligations. Negotiating and managing third party commercial arrangements, and ensuring they are cost effective for the client.

Shan has extensive experience drafting pleadings/court documents, submissions, applications, statements/affidavit evidence, briefs to counsel and managing litigation or matters proceeding to hearing and/or appeal and court attendances. In managing litigation matters for her clients, Shan is able to assist in resolving disputes by negotiation, mediation and settlement conferences, so as to ascertain the best outcome for the client, swiftly, within their budget.
