About Jitesh

Jitesh is a Special Counsel at JHK Legal and has over 19 years’ of experience working in family law.

Jitesh is an Accredited Specialist in Family Law. Specialist Accreditation provides a nationally recognized “mark of excellence” for high level of competence and knowledge. 

Throughout his career, Jitesh has assisted clients by providing a pragmatic, empathetic, and tenacious approach when necessary. His clients feel empowered with confidence and have reassurance that they are in good hands with someone who knows what he is doing.

In Family Law, experience is priceless as one would have then had countless cases in every possible situation so that nothing comes as a surprise.

Jitesh acts with empathy and compassion with all his clients and takes his time to understand and manage his client’s expectations, while always working towards the best outcome for all his clients.

Jitesh’s assertive, confident, and focused demeanour while dealing with litigation concerns helps move cases ahead through the court system and provide closure to his clients at an emotional and difficult time while also protecting their best interests.

Jitesh has worked with clients from all walks of life, background and culture. In addition to English, being able to speak three different dialects of the Indian language can help clients feel very much at home.

More recently Jitesh has worked on matters in the Federal Circuit and Family Court of Australia and the State Courts concerning complex parenting and property settlement matters, and domestic violence matters.

Jitesh is an excellent communicator and takes a holistic approach in providing advice. He takes pride in actively listening and understanding his clients. He seeks to provide timely and commercially considered advice appropriate to each client’s individual need and circumstance, especially in matters where children are involved. He realizes that not all battles are to be won – some are better to be simply closed, to maintain respect and dignity.

Jitesh is admitted as a solicitor to the Supreme Court of Queensland and High Court of Australia and currently holds a practicing certificate in Queensland.

Jitesh holds a Bachelor of Laws and a Bachelor of Management Studies (First Class Hons, majoring Accounting).

Outside of the law Jitesh enjoys time with his two boys and working out so he can enjoy his steak. He is passionate about Liverpool Football Club. A long walk by the water on the weekend is something he looks forward to although it seldom happens.
