About Jonathan

Jonathan joined JHK Legal as Special Counsel in May 2026 and brings extensive experience in commercial litigation and insolvency matters.

Originally from the United Kingdom, Jonathan moved to Melbourne in 2012 and was admitted as an Australian Legal Practitioner in 2013.

He holds an Honours Law degree from Swansea University and has spent his career advising clients on complex commercial disputes.

Jonathan combines strong legal expertise with commercial insight to provide clear, practical advice focused on achieving positive outcomes.

He regularly assists clients across Victorian and Federal jurisdictions, with particular expertise in shareholder disputes, insolvent trading, voidable transaction claims, and insolvency-related matters.

He also regularly acts for liquidators, trustees in bankruptcy and company directors.

Outside of work, Jonathan is a proud father of two young daughters. He enjoys science fiction, football and rugby union, is a lifelong Leeds United supporter, and has also adopted his wife’s AFL team, the Hawthorn Hawks.
