Mathumika is an Associate at JHK Legal and has experience litigating complex commercial disputes. She has assisted in advising companies, their boards, and insolvency practitioners across the major Australian states on a broad range of commercial and insolvency matters, including breach of contract claims, large-scale disputes involving claims of up to $100 million, commercial arbitration, and building and construction disputes.
A keen interest in working with the people behind the industries that keep the world moving underpins Mathumika’s approach to practice. She is particularly interested in analysing complex factual and legal issues, assessing evidence with precision, and developing commercially focused strategies that advance her clients’ objectives.
Mathumika has two years’ experience in commercial litigation and insolvency. She was admitted to the Supreme Court of Queensland in October 2024 and commenced practice as a solicitor in January 2025. She is also admitted as a Solicitor of the High Court of Australia and as a Barrister and Solicitor of the High Court of New Zealand.
